Carole Friend, DPT is a licensed Physical Therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1992 from Ohio University and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 from Shenandoah University. Carole worked in acute care, adult rehabilitation, outpatient, and skilled care with Centra Health until 1995, in Charlottesville with a skilled care facility until 1997, and at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center as a Brain Injury Services Liaison until 1999. Carole began with Blue Ridge Therapy Associates in 2001 and worked part time in various settings including Early Intervention, outpatient, school-based therapy, Adult Home and Intermediate Care Facilities. She currently provides outpatient therapy to pediatric clients with physical and sensory impairments as well as adults with intellectual /mental disabilities or neurological impairments such as stroke or head injury. She is also currently an Assistant Professor in the University of Lynchburg's Department of Physical Therapy.
